This year for Halloween Bill and I took the kids to the Kentucky Horse Park for the Halloween camp out. It was a nice weekend enjoying time together and we had good company. Jocelyn was able to bring a friend and both of the grandma's made it down for a visit.
The weather was cold for most of the trip. We spent a lot of time by the campfire trying to stay warm.
Saturday was the day of activities. Our day started off with a magic show. I would say the magic show was probably Bill's favorite event. He has always been amused with magic. Then the kids were crafty and decorated pumpkins. After the pumpkin decorating we enjoyed a free lunch. Logan's favorite part of the day was taking rides in the bobcat cart so after lunch Bill, Jocelyn, Logan, and Gammer met up with a very friendly horse that they were able to feed. Then it was time for trick or treating. Jocelyn and her friend Kelsey dressed up as twin cheerleaders and Logan was batman. We ended our day celebrating Jocelyn's 8th birthday. Our baby girl is growing up. I am amazed by how quickly time goes. We sat by the fire reminiscing about the day she was born. She was so content and calm. Her birth was one of the happiest days of our lives. I could never explain in words the excitement and joy we felt to be blessed with a beautiful baby girl and to this day I'm very proud to have a daughter.
Now we're at the tough part. I have a call into Logan's neurologist. Logan told us that he had brown urine Saturday morning. I wasn't sure if it was true until Sunday morning when he showed Nanny. Sunday morning it was confirmed that he did indeed have a golden brown urine. Dr. Wong explained to us that brown urine means to much activity. Logan also was not getting the full amount of liquid that he requires in a day. My question to them will be was it the activity of camping that was to much for him or was it that his system was not getting enough fluid to flush him out? The discolored urine was only in the morning. It did not continue throughout the day. I'm anxious to hear back from the doctor. This journey is a learning process and the more I know and understand it the easier things will be.
Now back to a positive thought. I was happy and felt blessed to be able to go camping spending time as a family.
